*OOC* .Ooc name. Hayley .Years of role-playing. 4
*CHARACTER* .Full Name. Ian Wilkins (formerly known as Jerry Tylen) .Age. 29 .Gender. male
.Appearance. ..build..: Very muscular, which often serves as an aid for his abusive traits (see history). He keeps in shape, although one must wonder where he finds the time to go to the gym, especially with his hatred for most people. He is toned throughout, though do not get the wrong idea. He’s no body-builder. His body is in perfect proportion and rightfully so. He tries to keep his exercise as balanced as possible and this includes endurance training. Jerry stands at 6' 2" and weighs around 180. Mostly muscle, of course. His skin is lightly tanned and usually remains the same basic color year-round, for he doesn't tan all that easily. Not that he really goes outdoors much during the day. Too dangerous. His hands tend to be rough to the touch. He hardly is one for moisturizers and lotion soaps. Though what kind of man has smooth hands, right? Though Jerry cannot be associated with the regulars of our society, make no mistake. His expressions are somewhat of a threat unto themselves. It's not difficult to read him because most of the time he is frustrated and angry or simply uncomfortable. If he shoots you a nasty look or glare, then back down immediately. In no means do I suggest you feed his pride, but it is hopeless to try and help that so it is best to stay away from him and to never, ever challenge him. Jerry isn't one to simply strike out of nowhere. He will warn you with cause so please, be careful and watch for his many signs. It's probably best just to avoid him altogether. One very unusual thing about Jerry is he never smells terribly. Well, rarely, that is. Sometimes he may looks as if to cause one to pass out on the spot (and I don't mean a knockout), but Jerry keeps clean most of the time. He can't stand being covered in anything other than cleanliness. Another thing that might set him off is spilling a drink of some kind on him, even if it were to be by accident, he might still come after you fiercely. Anyway, he knows how to maintain a decent hygiene, though most may not suspect that. There are times when he's on the run and hasn't time to shower, but rest assured, he isn't at all a dirty man in that sense.
..hair..: His hair is short and black. He was forced to cut it from a slightly lengthy style due to his efforts of trying not to be recognized by the enemy. He never bothers growing it out, for it becomes a hassle and the last thing he needs is his hair making trouble for him. Also, it would make him look more like the man he really was, rather than the man he was trying to be to hide himself from the dangers that were after him.
..eyes..: His eyes are a dark hue of blue. They are actually fairly radiant and an admirable physical trait about him, though none really have time to notice thanks to his ill personality. His eyes are the only way to really be able to tell what his emotions are like at times, so if you ever get the chance, study them closely.
..other facial features..: He had a ruggedly handsome look at one point and still has a light trace of a beard, though he shaves it off every time he gets the opportunity. ..scars..: One of the most noticeable is arguably a stab wound on his thigh. Others include bullet wounds on his stomach and back. About three total. There are scars throughout his body, mostly on his back that would probably make people question him in ways he wishes not to be, and so he makes sure to cover up the majority of these scars whenever he can.
..flaws..: Jerry has plenty of fractured body parts, all of which have healed for the most part, but still cause him problems every once and a while. He never really knows what to expect from his body after having it mistreated so many times.
.Personality. This man is quite possibly the most complex person you will ever come to know (if you ever should dare.) Jerry is not your average guy, nor anything like it. There are many distinct traits and instances that make him who he is and as far as the creator knows, he will not be changing his ways with any small click of a button, no sir.
First, let me explain his divine hatred for mostly everyone, no matter what type of person they are. He has lived most of his life in isolation from the world. Not to say he was locked in a closet or anything, but he has never bothered to reach out to the world around him. Because of the constant death threats that haunt him throughout his life, he has found himself in a situation in which he cannot trust a soul. It’s difficult to know exactly why he has such a heavy shell around him that is seemingly unbreakable. Perhaps some of his history will help you solve that one. Although he disrespects women as well, men are by far the most untrustworthy for Jerry. Other men, that is. Well, actually…even himself. He does have very low self-confidence, after all, but we’ll get to that in a moment. Any time another man should challenge his thoughts or strength, all hell breaks loose. You’ll never hear the end of it, that is, until he has thoroughly beaten the other into a bloody pulp. No worries, my fellow citizens, for he is harmless if you simply ignore him and forget having any sort of contact with him whatsoever. No ‘hellos’, no asking for directions, no helping hands. Just leave him be and he might let you live.
Sounds extreme, doesn’t it? I’m simply preparing you for the worst, that’s all. He’s gotten better over the years. He really isn’t so bad anymore, but I would advise you to remain cautious around him. He has a long history of abuse, mostly of his ex-girlfriend by the name of Paulina (see history). His anger builds up rapidly and once released, he has little to no control over his actions and it usually turns out to be something he regrets dearly. Yes, he was once in love. Can you believe it? PJ had bore two children of his, but being the selfish coward that he was, he didn’t stay with her. He ran, like all cowards do. He felt he would never make it as a father (thus, only thinking of himself).
This leads me to his low self-confidence. Jerry has never been given much of a reason to believe in himself. No encouragement. How could anyone give him encouragement when he pushes them away? I have no idea. So it’s his own fault, really. He is constantly putting himself down, knowing he’s in the wrong, but he continues with his despicable behavior anyway. He is extremely rude to just about anyone who gets in his way of life (not that it means much), but once you threaten to alert the police, he backs down. If they should alert the police, they would have records of him and any records they have, his father’s enemies would soon possess. It was that easy for them. They were an intelligence group, after all.
Another thing is that Jerry is very stubborn. He refuses to do anything that is asked of him, especially good deeds. He figures that it is a waste of time and he would not be caught dead performing a task that would benefit others and not himself. Selfish? Maybe just a little.
Although most of these traits are terribly shameful, he can be good…at times. He does have somewhat of a romantic nature, once you get past all of the other nasty things (which, trust me, will take quite a while). He also is very thoughtful and imaginative. He could write a book if he knew that the moment it reached the publisher, he wouldn’t be discovered in his humble home. He is also very protective once he finds ones he loves, but he is scared to death of commitment. Not just because of the fact that the assassins would just as easily kill his family as well, but he’s always been afraid of women in all honesty, which doesn’t quite explain his abusive nature, but like I said before, he is extremely complex. I’m not even sure I can decode him entirely for you. All I know is, deep down, Jerry can be the guy you always dreamed of. But no one has ever gotten that far.
Lastly, he still has a strong Scottish accent. It is sometimes times difficult to decipher exactly what he is saying, but most of the time it is clear.
..likes..: Being left alone When people care about him (though he wont admit it) Women Books Sarcasm
..dislikes..: Crowds Other men Attention Life Drugs/smokers The wealthy Challenges Fighting Guns
.History.
EDINBURGH, SCOTLAND: Ok, now the part I know you are just itching to know. It all started back in Edinburgh, Scotland, where dear Alan aka Jerry was born. His father was a part of a spy group that worked for British intelligence and was reported dead during the sequence of attempting to retrieve information from the Russian mafia. This did not, however, have to do with the political needs or requests from the Prime Minister of England, mind you. This was a private investigation held by an underground group I am not permitted to mention to you. Anyways, Alan grew up without his real father, but instead, his step-father, who turned out to be extremely abusive. His mother did not divorce him because he wasn’t as abusive to her as he was to Alan and Alan was afraid to say anything about it. The MacGregors lived in poverty and had little to live off of, so as you can imagine, Alan ended up getting a job very early, at the age of 12, working with the same agency his father had worked for. At the age of 18, Alan betrayed his contract and shared intelligence he was forbidden to distribute and this cost him not only his job, but the rule was that anyone who disobeyed orders to this degree was to be rid of, in other words, killed immediately. Alan, of course, did not wish to die and he ran off. He was stationed in London for a while, but people got suspicious, so it was off to the United States, where he stayed for about six years.
UNITED STATES: Alan went into the U.S. under the alias Jerry Tylen. He kept himself covered and tried to avoid confrontation and refused to make acquaintances with anyone because, naturally, he refused to trust anyone. He never knew who they were working for and he could never be sure about that either. Luck would have it, Jerry runs into a woman on the street by the name of Paulina Jane Worthen, who just happened to be an assassin sent for him, but she didn’t know it and nor did he at the time. He had died his hair blonde and looked as different as he could make himself out to be. Long story short, PJ followed him back to his hotel room and after much frustration and a lot of shouting on Jerry’s part, Paulina managed to seduce him and they slept together, which, surprisingly enough, was Jerry’s first time and hasn’t slept with anyone since his last time with PJ. They were together for a long time and he actually trusted her and told her his real name, but he was extremely shocked as was she when she realized that he was her next target as a part of her job and Jerry nearly killed her for it, but another long story short, they worked it out and Jerry got her pregnant (lovely aint it?). They planned to get married and it turned out that that one baby was two. Yep, twins. Jerry had wanted to try this whole family thing, but in the middle of it all, he panicked and left her out of fear. Yes, there is a burden of guilt on his shoulders, but he’ll get over it. He’s trying to move on and has now isolated himself once again, just daring anyone to break his shell, which isn’t impossible. After all, Paulina was able to do it. Of course, she happened to be in his hotel room naked when he arrived, but like I said, long story. Heh.
LONDON, ENGLAND: One important detail I failed to mention in the previous paragraph is the fact that during their affair, Paulina had called the agency and cleared Jerry’s name so that he was then able to use his original name (Alan MacGregor). However, since he had left, he’s been constantly paranoid about the whole thing, worried that she would call it off, which she could very easily do and they’d come after him again. Not that he believed that PJ would do that, but you never know…he didn’t want to take that chance. So then he came back to London, England of the United Kingdom with his fake identification, trying to make a living like he had done in Scotland and the United States at one time. All this make sense? Well, I sure hope so.
REMINGTON VALLEY: After a few years of nonsense and being strictly kept to himself, Jerry was nearly restored to his old self so it is possible that Paulina never had that significant of an impact on him after all. Then again, how could that be so? That’s simply impossible. He was in love with her…he was seemingly happy for a brief moment in time. Key word: was. Jerry grew bored in England and decided to travel somewhere in which he could feel secure so he could let his guard down at least a little bit. The place he found was practically in the middle of nowhere and this place was called Remington Valley. It was an active little town that he perhaps could get used to and maybe rid himself of his wretched ways, but he wasn’t going to get his hopes up.
WEST WOOD CITY: Jerry fell in love again. Mistakably so. This time, the woman managed to break his heart, but of course, this was only after he had broken hers. The assassins had raided his household and scared Jackie half to death, so he decided to end it. He refused to put her in that kind of danger. Although he was fairly abusive to her as well, he figured that she would want him back when he returned several months later, but unfortunately, he came too late. Jackie had already found herself another lover and he knew that she was much better off with him. There was no reason to fight for her. Why would she want him?
ISLITON: a new beginning for Jerry, you might say. He is trying his best to get settled someplace that won’t completely reject him as a human being. Though it’s difficult to gain any potential friends when you were the way he was. He moved into a decent apartment and hoped that no one would find him here. Then again, they always do. Hopefully it would last at least a few years this time so that he may have the time to find himself and perhaps even better his attitudes towards other human life. He's living off the inheritance he received from deaths in the family, which is quite a bit, though he doesn't bother with the high life. Has to lay low...obviously. However, he has discovered that his only allies are living in Isliton. Craig and Glenn Blackwood. He doubts they’d be willing to help him, but he would try and gain their trust somehow again.
PASADENA: Yet another location for Jerry. Though there is something quite different about him. Yes, he has found himself a new alias. It was about time, right? The name Jerry Tylen was getting rather old and he needed to change it in order to save himself by keeping a new identity. He is now living in southern California under the name Ian Wilkins. He’s still seeking a place in which he can just start over and get over the paranoia that has followed him his entire life.
*OTHER* .Sample Post. What was he supposed to do? Escort her to the correct dealer on the other side of the alley? That simply wasn’t him and he refused to be in the presence of them anyhow. One thing some find interesting about Jerry is his distaste for drugs of any kind, especially tobacco. If he could knock out every smoker that came into sight or smell, maybe he would teach them a lesson. He hated the smell and being exposed to it constantly just made him furious. He never missed an opportunity to tell them off. It wasn’t the average ‘it’s bad for you’ remark though. It was more like ‘get that smoke away from me, you bastard’. Yes, that sounded a lot more like Jerry. More often than not, the drug dealers were the ones smoking around the alley. As to what they were smoking exactly? He didn’t know, but he did catch the stench of cigarettes every once and a while. So unless he was in the mood for a brawl, he probably wouldn’t be heading in that direction, so this woman would be on her own.
He watched her as she reacted to his answers and from what he could tell, she was none too happy with them. What did she want him to say? What did she expect? A man dwelling in the darkness in an alleyway selling weapons illegally wasn’t exactly what you’d call a gentleman. Common courtesy was well out of his vocabulary. It was fairly amusing to see this, though. He could tell by her expression that she was just about ready to release her distress out on him, but she was somehow able to restrain it in a way that Jerry only wished he knew how to do. If it were her aiding in his frustration, he most certainly would have broken something of hers by now, but fortunately, that was not the case. He simply stayed put and listened as she hissed back at him about wasting her time. Well, yeah. Jerry was good at that.
The Scotsman watched as she was soon consumed by the dark shadows of the alleyway. Part of him wanted to grab her arm and beg her not to continue, but the other half of him said that whatever happened to her, it was her own fault and he should have nothing to do with it. Despite her being out of site, his gaze still followed the path in which he assumed she was traveling and before long, he was able to see her figure again thanks to the headlights of an unknown vehicle that had stopped near her. For a brief time, Jerry thought nothing of it, but it didn’t take long for the thought to come to him of a potentially dangerous situation for the woman. nuts.
He still neglected to move, watching the scene and it progressed into what Jerry knew would be nothing good. Drug dealers around here were always on foot unless they had a prescheduled appointment and he knew those men did not. As he saw them approach her, he forced himself to look away. What the f**k was she doing? ‘Run, d**n it! Run!’ he was telling her, but only in his mind, for no words would do any good from such a distance. He clenched a fist, slightly angry with the woman for being too bold for her own good and slightly due to his indecisiveness to stop them from committing a crime against her.
Jerry had a bit of confidence in her at first, thinking she would be far too clever to fall into their wicked scheme of assault. As long as she stayed within his site, she’d be ok, he figured. If it was a drug deal, he’d know. He’d seen hundreds of them performed and he could spot one from a mile away…if he could see that far. The headlights illuminated the scene fairly well and so he could make out what was going on pretty easily. The only thing he’d have to do without was their words. He looked at them as the man began to touch her face and neck. What the hell was she doing? She needed to get away from them. A hand was offered to her as if asking her to join him in his sickening fantasy and Jerry was sure that this would mark the beginning of her reluctance, but to his horror, her hand touched his and she was lead back to the other side of the car in which he could no longer see them.
His heart began pounding irregularly and Jerry now had a decision to make. Would he help her, or should he just stand by as if nothing was going on? A hand was run through his dark locks as he tried to forget about it. It had nothing to do with him. Why the f**k should he help her? It was then that a scream was heard and it was as if that scream had smacked Jerry on the side of the head and told him there was only one option. He quickly opened up his briefcase, grabbed a handgun and some bullets and before long, he had abandoned the suitcase and was rushing towards the scene while loading his gun. He didn’t know if the men were armed or not, but you must always assume the worst with villains like these.
Jerry quickly rounded the vehicle and eyed the back door. He fired a shot at the driver’s side window, knowing that wasn’t where they’d be, just to halt whatever was going on until he could reach them. The backseat door had been left open, allowing Jerry to easily slip through the entrance. He already imagined what would be going on, so it didn’t surprise him one bit to see her nearly in the nude beneath the man’s figure. Enraged by these actions, Jerry reached for the back of the man’s collar and forcefully pulled him out of the car, causing him to fall to the street’s surface. The Scotsman kicked him hard in the face several times, but Jerry had forgotten that this man was not alone. The other half of the pair approached him from behind with a gun to his head and Jerry’s first thoughts weren’t of defeat, for Jerry never really gave a nuts if he died or not, all that matters is that he put up a good fight. Luckily, Jerry was trained to survive the worst situations and so this was nothing new. He twisted around in one quick instant, unfortunately it wasn’t enough to cause the man to lose his gun and a shot was fired, hitting Jerry in the shoulder. An agonizing yell escaped from him, but he didn’t give up. This only infuriated him more and in the next instant, he had forced his fist into the man’s face, which could quite possibly have killed him, but it was only enough to knock him out.
At this point, the other had gotten up and was trying his luck at attacking the Scotsman, but Jerry was quick enough to notice him and took him by the neck, before thingying his gun and holding it up to the man’s head.
”You sick bastard! You deserve to die, but this way is just too easy.”
With that said, he lowered the gun and instead brutally beat the man, taking all of his frustration an anger out on him all at once. Before long, both men were laying on the street, bloody and beaten and both knocked unconscious. Jerry took a deep breath and tried to ease his breathing, but it was difficult with the surging pain that was attacking him from the gunshot wound to his shoulder. It wasn’t the first time he’d been shot there, so he’d be alright, but d**n he hated being shot.
He figured by now, the woman had enough time to cover herself to a degree that she felt comfortable with. One thing Jerry would never, ever be caught doing was sexually assaulting a woman. There were points that even he would draw the line. He peeked in the back of the SUV and leaned on the door.
”Are you alright? Those f**kers wont be doing this again anytime soon.”
He then looked back to see the motionless offenders lying in the same position as he’d left them. He then looked at his shoulder. His leather jacket now had a hole in it and you could see the blood soaking into it, despite it’s dark color. He immediately rid himself of the jacket and then ripped the sleeve off of his white button-up to reveal the wound. He sat in the back seat of the car near her and examined the wound, trying desperately to pick at it and remove the bullet, but it was in too deep. He needed some sort of tool to get it out. There was no way in hell he was paying a visit to the hospital.
