Mar. 20 We've acquired some new members over the past month and activity is up, which is always awesome! There will be a few suggestions for the site posted here and there so feel free to give your input! If you have any suggestions or comments about the site, don't hesitate to contact one of the admins via PM or a post on the OOC board. thanks!

Feb. 4 Due to problems with the new skin, we have decided to keep the current one for now, but as you may have noticed, we have added some images to the sidebar and members are now able to start nominating for the character and couple of the month!

Jan. 25 Started working on a new skin! Hopefully we'll have it up by the first week of February if not sooner so you can keep an eye out for it!

Jan. 17 Well, I haven't posted here in forever but plenty has happened! The side bar has been finished and we are working on a new skin that looks better with it, but until the skin is up I plan to mess around with the side bar a little more to make it work better with the current skin as well. Beyond that we have new members and I'd love to tell them all a late happy new year!

Dec. 31 Started to work on the side bar!

Welcome to Pasadena, California! It's one of the greatest scenic cities in Southern California, not far from the coast. The Rules

    General
  • Absolutely no Power-Playing is allowed. This means controlling the actions of another character.
  • No Mind Reading. You can't read another character's thoughts and then incorporate that in your character's knowledge. For example: 'John hated Susan, but she'll never know.' And then in the next message, Susan says to John: "Do you hate me?" or "Why do you hate me, John?"
  • Please do not include OOC (out of character) language in your posts. For example, you may not use lol, or replace words like 'for' with the number '4'. OOC messages are allowed at the end as long as they are indicated as such.
  • Please respect the admins and their decisions
  • Members are given a max of 3 warnings for breaking the rules. On the 4th violation, you will most likely be banned.
  • If you have any problems with the rules or are not able to comply for a specified reason, please let one of the admins know and we may be able to make exceptions.

    Role Playing
  • This is an intermediate to advanced role play. There is a minimum requirement of 350 words per post. Please do your best to try and meet the requirement.
  • Pay attention to grammar, spelling, and typos in your posts
  • All posts must be in third person
  • You must tag your post if it is meant for a specific person. Simply put their name in the subject title. If your post is open, it is helpful to put the word 'open' in the subject, but you are not required to do so.
  • Plots are posted on the plots board, but they cannot go beyond the characters you are plotting with. You cannot create a plot that would effect the whole site such as a flood. Normal changes in weather are allowed, of course.
  • Have fun and do your best!

    Joining
  • Provide as much detail as you can about your character in your joining post.
  • Use the application form provided ONLY.
  • Sample posts are required for all new members.
  • You must have a description of your character's appearance. A picture will not do
  • Be realistic. Do not make your character flawless and perfect. That's boring. BE UNIQUE. Creativity produces an interesting character and good plots. If you create a plain character, chances are you or the person you are rping with will lose their muse quickly. Please include the phrase 'sunny days' in your joining post.
  • Your character name must be different from the celebrity you plan to use.
  • You must have a different account for each character. Your display name should be your character's full name.
  • Your character must be between the ages of 16 and up (this does not include children of characters). If you feel you have a good enough reason for having your character younger, please PM an admin and we may make an exception, though for this site it is discouraged to have a character under the age of 18.
  • You may choose between the long or short application. It does not matter which you choose, but the paragraph sections are the same length for both applications. The long is only different because it includes more detailed information.
  • IMPORTANT: You cannot have more than 2 females on the site without joining a guy. In other words, you cannot join a third female charrie unless you have joined a guy. Keep in mind, you MUST have your male charrie be active in order to be able to join another female. This is important because the number of females often greatly outnumbers the males on sites and we are going to try to prevent that as much as possible so that it doesn't get to a point in which we have to install a girl ban.

    Site Content
  • This site is Rated R for sexual content, language and violence.
  • Sex is not permitted anywhere except for the housing and the hotel.
  • Violence is allowed, as I said. Stabbings, shootings, rape, etc are all considered violence. Murder is also permitted (if someone is planning to kill off their character), but you absolutely must have permission from another character before undergoing any violent behaviors with their character.
  • The language refers to profanity. All language is permitted. Just don't go crazy.

    Jobs
  • Characters are not required to have a job, but it is strongly recommended. However, you cannot have your character be unemployed and have him living in a big house with a fancy car unless you have some huge inheritance or whatnot. Keep it realistic please.
  • I have a variety of jobs listed. If you would like a job that is not listed, send me a PM and I'll consider adding it.
  • Characters are limited to 2 jobs, but do not request both at one time. You must have the first job at least 2 weeks before requesting another.
  • Age limits are set for certain jobs. If no age is noted for the job, then it is available to anyone.

    Celebrity Claims
  • First come, first serve. Whoever posts their claim first gets the celeb. No ifs, ands or buts.
  • Any and all celebrities are allowed
  • You may not share a celeb with anyone else.

    Avatars/Signatures
  • Avatars must be 100X100 in size
  • Please make signatures a reasonable size. If they are too large, you will be sent a PM to change it.
  • No nudity is allowed in pictures. This is absolutely not permitted. You will receive a warning if this rule is not followed.
  • Signatures should include the name of your character. If not, you must include the name below the siggy along with the age and status or your character. You will receive a PM from an admin if you do not have this.
  • Only one image is permitted for your signature or you may use multiple avatars (100X100), but the image should be reasonably small in size
  • 5 lines max of text is permitted. Please make your font a reasonable size. I'd say not greater than size 3.

    Chat Box
  • No swearing of any kind
  • Be nice!
  • No advertising!
  • No spamming! (i.e. repeating the same message over and over several times)
