[/size]the basics;;Yes, the annoying rules. We're trying to keep them short and simple and we assume you know the basic rules of role playing. Any questions or want an exception to be made? Please PM an admin and the two of us will talk it over and it just may be allowed if you ask nicely so don't be scared. We don't bite... hard.
01. Guests, if you have a question about the rules, feel free to ask in the Cbox. However, a comment about the rules in the Cbox is unacceptable, so please don't. I will delete the post and mark your IP address as spam for Cbox. Please be respectful of our site.in character;;
02. Be sure to tell us when you are going to be away, just so you don't risk deletion if we have a spontaneous activity check.
04. Your account name must be that of your character, with proper capitalization. So Summer Jackson or Craig Blackwood, not summer jackson or CRAIG BLACKWOOD. No extra character’s either, to make everything look uniform. Middle names can be added.
05. Your application must say every large, important event that happened in your character's past. I do not want to see every girl being raped or abused and every guy being abandoned as a child. Please, be original.
06. The name of your character cannot contain any from the name of your celeb. So if you use Carrie Underwood your character cannot have either Carrie or Underwood anywhere in her name. It's lazy and goes against what we feel is the point of role playing. I'm sure a lot of people would love to help find a name for your character
11. Don't pester people to post, however, if they have not posted in two weeks, it's not out of line to ask if they have forgotten or what the hold up is. On that topic, this is an advanced role play and people will doubtfully post every day, please be able to respect that.
01. You know the basics, third person, watch grammar and spelling (we suggest writing your post in a word document and then copying and pasting it into your post), no god modding, no power playing, no large plots that effect the whole site, separate accounts are required for each character and tagging your posts as either open or for the character they are for.
02. Word count is 500 words as this is an advanced role play. We’re all willing to help out new role players of course, but our standards are high. To be accepted your sample post must also be 500 words.
03. When role playing proper capitalization and punctuation must be used. Periods at the end of sentences, capitals at the beginning and for names. It's easier to read.
04. You can have as many characters as you want as long as you can keep up with all of them. There are a few rules, though. If you have two girls you must then create a guy, and keep him active. If you are "absolutely horrible" at playing guys than, sorry, but you don't get to play a third character at all. If he is not active one of the female accounts will be disabled because sites almost always need guys. The code is “admin changed” and put it in your character’s birthday slot, along with the birthday to be accepted. On that note, keep all your threads active. If I notice you ignore one thread and post very often in others the latter will be locked until a reply to the first is made. It's just rude.
05. Absolutely no mary sues. Everyone has their weaknesses, in personality and appearance, so put flaws in both. And this includes the play bys you will be using for your character. No celebrity is perfect in appearance, sorry. This is an advanced role play so spare us the pain of telling you to add flaws to your character. They will not be accepted.
06. All characters must be age 18 or above. If we get too many teenagers I will also ban them as well. All jobs also have a strictly enforced age limit.
07. Pregnancy plots must be gone through with an admin. No one wants every girl in town preggers.
08. This is a realistic role play. This means that the characters you make should be someone you might actually meet while walking down the street. One dramatic thing in a character's history is plenty, no one wants a pathetic downward spiral, it's stupid and shows poor writing skills. The character's personality should also match their history. Someone who grew up pampered and kept away from all the bad of the world wouldn't be overly paranoid. I should be able to give a basic guess to your character's personality from their history
09. Posting in character must be done in size one font and please keep do not change the color of your post. It may be readable today and tomorrow we change the skin and it's no longer readable.
10. Please put your character's age and relationship status in your signature. I hate having to go look around for it.
11. Don't only plot with character's whose playbys have photo ops with your character's playby. I'm serious, it's childish and stupid. Also, for the sake of my sanity, absolutely none of this two characters falling in love or talking about they are all the other ever wanted in the thread where they meet okay? It's fine if two characters are dating when their two role players join the site, but it is not allowed to have one thread with the characters and then have them be together. Come on, realistic, remember?
12. This site is only for mature and respectful members. Therefore the site is rated "R" and many different topics will be discussed and situations role played. Mark the title of your thread if it contains mature content. Think of it like a movie that's rated R.
13. Please be careful while naming your character, don't make it too far out there. How many Shadow's or Jupiter's have you met? I'm not saying you can only use Sara or Anna or Jack, but keep it narrowed down to something you have heard of in the past.
signatures and avatars;;
01. You don't have to have either (except to follow the rule above). However, you must have a human play by for your character. So, yes, you need to a face and we encourage this person to be a celebrity. However, if you absolutely must use a non-celebrity you must have that person's permission to use their first AND last name because you must still post in the face claims in the same format.
02. Don’t stretch the board with pictures, ever. And credit the people who make them for you. Ignore putting the code word in the birthday section, just put it in the other accounts section.
03. No nudity, period. If the admins think the picture in your signature, or anywhere else, is too revealing it will be removed, or if there is a complaint that the signature is too revealing from anyone. There’s no need for that.
c-box;;
01. Don't spam the c-box. Spam is small pointless annoying messages. Conversations are welcomed. That's what it's for. But absolutely no SPAM.[/blockquote]
02. Also, no advertising. Please don't even link to your site in your name, because it changes the look and messes with the uniformity.
03. No public fighting, solve it over PM and if something gets too bad contact a staff member.
your admins,
Hayley and Legaleen
