Mar. 20 We've acquired some new members over the past month and activity is up, which is always awesome! There will be a few suggestions for the site posted here and there so feel free to give your input! If you have any suggestions or comments about the site, don't hesitate to contact one of the admins via PM or a post on the OOC board. thanks!

Feb. 4 Due to problems with the new skin, we have decided to keep the current one for now, but as you may have noticed, we have added some images to the sidebar and members are now able to start nominating for the character and couple of the month!

Jan. 25 Started working on a new skin! Hopefully we'll have it up by the first week of February if not sooner so you can keep an eye out for it!

Jan. 17 Well, I haven't posted here in forever but plenty has happened! The side bar has been finished and we are working on a new skin that looks better with it, but until the skin is up I plan to mess around with the side bar a little more to make it work better with the current skin as well. Beyond that we have new members and I'd love to tell them all a late happy new year!

Dec. 31 Started to work on the side bar!

Cindy needed a drink. That wasn’t something she told herself at the end of every day, not even close, but today had been a long and treacherous one. Nearly half of her staff had called in due to the god-awful storm that came through that morning. It was windy, rainy and the clouds were loaded with plenty of lightning to scare the more weary members of her staff. Fortunately, it was a Tuesday and the restaurant wasn’t having one of its busier nights so it appeared as though things would go alright. Well, she had certainly been wrong about that. Not more than an hour into her day, a customer had an allergic reaction that was so severe that she had to call the paramedics to get it taken care of. As if that wasn’t enough, three hours later the staff was greeted by a fifteen-top walk-in. Now who on earth bothers coming to an upscale restaurant with fifteen people without bothering to make reservations? They were teenagers, so she supposed that answered her question well-enough, but it didn’t make fitting them in any easier with her being short-staffed.

So after making it home and discovering she hadn’t a single drop of wine left, she gave up and settled on the couch with some ice cream. It was around six-thirty that she finally gained some sanity and decided she needed some fresh air. She changed out of her work clothes and into some dark wash jeans and a red v-neck t-shirt. She slipped on some tennis shoes before grabbing her jacket and purse and headed out the door. The air was humid from the storm and the sky told her there was another one on its way, but it didn’t look as frightening as the last. She dug through her wallet for her keys and decided to make the short drive towards the park so that she wouldn’t have to walk home if it decided to rain again.

The park didn’t end up being as relaxing as she had hoped. There weren’t many people around, but her thoughts consumed her in an unsettling way. Cindy had completely devoted her time to her job and did so in order to get over what happened in the past, but every once and a while it would haunt her and she’d be trying to get over it all over again. She released a long sigh as she wandered through the park. You’d think she’d be used to being alone by now, but that was far from the truth. Sure, she had some good friends, but she didn’t allow herself enough time to truly enjoy life. It was getting harder and harder to deal with and she knew she needed to make some changes to her lifestyle in order to fill the void she was becoming more aware of as the months passed.

She plopped down on a bench as soon as she found an empty one and proceeded to watch the events going on around her. A man was playing Frisbee with his dog, two moms were settled on another bench while their children ran wild and there were various other people doing a variety of things such as walking their dog or taking an evening walk with their spouse. Cindy continued to tell herself that she was still very young and she had plenty of time to figure things out, but how could she ever expect to do so when she didn’t let herself simply go out and have fun more often? Another sigh was released as she unwillingly drifted into thought, ignoring the movements around her.

ooc: ugh I absolutely hate it. sorry. I haven't rped her in forever so it might take a few posts to get used to her again
